Default Re: .info deserves the price?

If it really comes down to a choice between a lame sounding .com and a nice .info: I'd take the .info too. I have a few single word dictionary .infos I'm running on my own sites. So I do use them if it makes sense.

However, I've managed to find a .com for every major site I've launched recently. So while it might take work to discover one, but good .com's are out there.

I still think .infos are harder to get ranking (but not impossible). Even just from my casual experience as a Google user: I very rarely see a .info on page one while I'm searching.

I also know a lot of blackhats burn through cheap .infos by the thousands and I'm sure that's playing into why Google may not "trust" .infos as much initially.
