Hey Everyone At BIC,
I am researching starting a business directory website and I would like to to it with the wordpress platform. I am familiar with wordpress and I have found a couple of business directory plugins, but before I jump in deep I thought I would get your opinions of a direction I should go as far as themes, plugins, etc. I'm sure there are many options for a site of this nature and I trust all of you here and the advice you give! Thanks in advance, jsturf |

Hey BIC Peoples,
I see that this post has been looked at 95 times and yet no one has offered up any advice? I guess my next question is-did I ask an un answerable(like my word) question? Is it a bad idea to ask questions of this nature? I know there are some very intelligent marketers in the BIC Community, that's why I asked this question here! Anyway, I will continue to check this post out for a few more days and see what happens!, Thanks again BIC All The Best, jsturf |

Hey JSTurf, This is Linda, herotness, and I think the problem with your question might be that someone here has to have built a directory site using Wordpress in order to answer it.
Wordpress isn't specifically a platform you'd choose for a business directory, so I'm guessing that's why all the 'empty air'. Here's a link that might be helpful to you. It's not something I've personally tried, but it can give you some direction anyway. How to make a directory website (like JustTweetIt.com) using WordPress - Crane Factory. The actual directory is here: Just Tweet It » THE Directory for Twitter Users! Good luck! Linda herotness |

The reason you have gotten no responses yet is because there really isn't any known solution for this that I know.
I went looking for this a month ago for a Chiropractor website I was working on. He wanted a way to list every Chiro that subscribe to his Council. To do it, I had to use several different plugins to "fake" it. I made each Chiro entry a "post" and put in their address and mapping data. That way, I can list all of the them on one map here: Rehabilitation Specialist | American Chiropractic Association Rehab Council and you can click on a given chiro and see just a map of them.
