Contest Burner link to website instead of blog

We are trying to drive traffic to our website not to a blog. Will contest burner be a good tool for this? Most of what I have read is about driving traffic back to the contest page on the blog or to the blog itself.

I'm just curious as to how this would work. Any ideas?

ContestBurner is made to have your contestants use social media to generate buzz and thus traffic back to your business. That can be a website, blog even a brick and mortar location.

The "points" are awarded for using social media sites like Facebook, Twitter, YouTube, etc. The more people talk about your business and have your contest link, the more traffic it should generate.

If you use the version that is for running the software directly on your website versus WordPress, then you're good. Most businesses have their blog on their website so it achieves the same goal. Some websites are souped up blogs using WordPress.

The whole idea is to give the contestants a reason to visit whatever site you want them to go to. Website, blog, brick and mortar location, Facebook page, etc.

If you want them to visit the website, then have special content for them to visit on the website after entering the contest. Engage the contestants so they have a reason to keep coming back. There's nothing exotic with what you're doing -it's just marketing using online tools and assets instead of billboards, commercials, events that businesses have been using for years. The contest gives them a great reason to visit and keep coming back.

Can you explain what you mean by the software directly on your website? I have been researching Contest Burner looking for a way to run it directly from our website but all I can seem to find is the plugin version for wordpress. Our company does not have a Wordpress account and Contest Burner would work better for us if we didn't have to manage a new Wordpress account.

They have a version of the software that runs directly on your website - not through WordPress. Contact their Help Desk and I'm sure they will help you.
