Is there a way to edit the standing page once you start to contest?

I'm not sure I understand exactly what you want to do. If you want to clear the results and start fresh, you can End the Contest then re start it.
There is not a way to "edit" the contest points to remove points other than Ending the contest and restarting it which will clear all points for everyone.
