Official Bug/Request List for Version 2

Please list any buggy experiences or upgrade features you would like to see in CB version 2 in this thread, but don't clutter with off-topic discussion. I will add all the bugs and feature requests to this top post as I see them come in.

Alleged Bugs:

1) Multiple intermittent license validation server access denial.
(sometimes causing all settings to be wiped out)

2) Less than optimal detection of YouTube comments for points.
(on multiple tests, points are not awarded for all tested videos)

3) No YouTube points are awarded if same contestant comments
on same YouTube video used in a new contest.

Feature Requests:

1) Concurrent Contests
(currently, You can run as many contests as you like, BUT only one
contest can be linked to the options on the Settings page. so, only
one contest can get points for Tweets, Videos, etc.)

2) Remove/Ban Contestant
(feature to remove your test contestants and/or cheaters)

3) White Label
(ability to remove mentions of "by contest burner" & "@contestburner")

THIS IS LIKE BUYING A TOMMY BAHAMA SHIRT. IT'S A $120 SHIRT AND NOT EVERYONE WANTS TOMMY'S NAME DISPLAYED ON THE BACK OF THE SHIRT. TOMMY DID A GREAT JOB ON MAKING A GREAT SHIRT, BUT MOST OF HIS SHIRTS DO NOT PLASTER HIS NAME ALL OVER THEM. (notify yourself of contest standing in private, but not by requiring a direct message on my twitter page.)

4) Definition Of License Parameters.
a) paid license good for how many domains? answer: 3
b) paid license good for lifetime or what timeframe? answer: lifetime
c) paid license good for lifetime support or what time frame? answer:
d) if support is paid service, how much & on what time frame? answer:

5) Add Points By Admin
(for those times when YouTube comments are verifiable, but not detected by the software)

6) Automatic Winner Selection Option
(ability to have software select winners automatically instead of having to do manually)
(with notation: official winners subject to Admin review within 24 hours.)

7) Ability to change parameter, "Contest Standings will be posted from Twitter user"
(if you make a mistake, there is no way to change it, even for subsequent contests.)

8) Ability to use same YouTube videos for new contests and award points to contestants
in new contests who have previously participated in contests that have ended.
(No YouTube points are awarded if same contestant comments on same YouTube video used in a new contest.)

9) Indication (placed in "add comment" area) that Twitter Username is REQUIRED when leaving a comment on a blog post, in order to receive contest points. (if you do not enter your twitter username in the field BELOW the submit button on the comment feature, you WILL NOT receive any contest points for that comment.)

10) Ability to award contest points for subscribing to multiple YouTube accounts in the "Points for YouTube Subscriptions" section. (currently there is only one username field)

11) Remove "powered by Contest Burner" from sidebar widget. (this is very annoying because the text appears even if you ARE NOT RUNNING a contest and DO NOT have a valid license. It makes it seem like Contest Burner is powering your WHOLE BLOG, which is false and misleading and annoying.)

9) Indication (placed in "add comment" area) that Twitter Username is REQUIRED when leaving a comment on a blog post, in order to receive contest points. (if you do not enter your twitter username in the field BELOW the submit button on the comment feature, you WILL NOT receive any contest points for that comment.)

12) Currently (via v1.07.3) if *anyone* mentions the twitter username that we as contest operator/owner had specified will earn points if mentioned, then that person is awarded points, regardless if they truly wanted to enter the contest or not.

Example Scenario:
A person w/ a twitter account called "mytweetacct" happens to mention @InternetCitadel in one of their tweets. @mytweetacct has *no* idea that a contest is even underway, but @mytweetacct is *still* subsequently listed via the "Current Contest Standings" do to the fact that he/she earned a point for tweeting w/ "@InternetCitadel" somewhere in their tweet.

Would be nice if there were a way to force contestants to "register" for the contest so that the Contest Burner software would/could then only report (and award prizes) for those who truly were registered.

We are working hard to get the new version ready and it will include an option to only award points to users that have visited your get links page to get their contest links.
