Urgent, how do I do these two things??

Hi there,

I just bought Content Burner and wanted to know how I set up or do these two things.

1) I want everyone who goes pass a certain amount of point to get access to that month's prices. So not a one off winner and not a lucky draw either. If you make the points you get that months products full stop. How do I set this up?

2) How do I customize my actual links page because the default page is one big mess that no one will understand. In reality this page should be really simple with step by step instructions on how to earn points and clear links to use, it is not like that right now.

And then can anyone tell me if I have to in fact buy a new license for each website I want to use this one? I have like 50 sites? I assume this is not right but I thought I would just ask and what is really the main advantage of the Ultimate version? It just does everything automatically but doesn’t have any real EXTRA functions or what? I hate this up sell down sell rubbish I wish you all could just sell ONE complete product that someone can buy and get all the functions.

Hi,

On #1, unfortunately, this is not built into contest burner. I am checking with our technical team to see if there is a work around to allow you to do this.

For #2, you can edit the Page in wordpress so that it says whatever you would like it to say. You need to make sure that you leave the shortcode for the contest in the page, but other than that, you can set it up and explain it however you want. Just go to Pages in wordpress, find the contest links page and Edit it.

As far as the license goes, it is only good for 1 website with the Standard edition. We will be making additional site licenses available in the future, but it isn't available currently. The Ultimate edition does come with 5 additional licenses, as well as extra features not available in the Standard edition. Both versions work automatically.

Ok, I did check with our technical staff and there is a way to do this. If you select Points Standing, and choose a number for the quantity that is higher than the number of people who have the minimum number of points, then all people who have the minimum will win.

There are 2 issues with this:

The first is that before you Select Winners, you'll have to manually make sure by checking the standings that you have a higher quantity in the prize field than the number of contestants who have reached the minimum. You could put a really high number in the quantity field, but then it will list a lot of empty spaces on your winners page, so I recommend doing it manually and selecting a quantity that is just a little higher than the number of people.

The second, which would be an issue either way, is that if you are running a monthly contest, you will have to create a new contest each month. Since you have to End a contest to award winners, if you start the same contest again, any points earned will still be there from the contestants.

So, it's a bit of extra work, but it can be done.

Another option is to use some of the features of the Ultimate edition, if you have it. One of the features of Ultimate allows you to hide content on your site until a contestant earns a certain number of points. You could hide a form the person submits to get their prize, or a coupon code or something like that. Then you could have an ongoing contest, and once a contestant reaches the minimum points, you display the content allowing them to collect the prize.

Ok thank you for the feedback. Let me ask in the ultimate edtition can I do this and clear all amount each month so that somone has to do it each month or reach the number each month to get thier free product? And you mentioned that you can show somone a page in the ultimate edtion once they reach a certain number but is this page actually protected or can somone share it?

Then as far as the licence. So I can only use it on one site but I can move it to any site that I want it on at that time? I mean I am currently just playing with it on a DEMO site so once I want to use it properly I can move it to my main site on another domain and wordpress and database right?

Then lastly, you said I can customize the page where the links are but how do I chnage the sort codes as it is just one line of code and it is that structure of that code that is a mess, I need to be abel to actually change how the buttons, links etc is displayed all together otherwise no one will know what to do.

Opening a ticket at Business Inner Circle - Help Desk is the best way to get support.

If you open a ticket and tell them the domain you want removed they will remove it so you can use the plugin on a different domain.
