Started New Contest With Returning Contestants

I was kind of hoping the returning contestants points would automatically publish once the system recognized that the returning contestant already "likes" our facebook page and has completed some of the other steps in a previous contest. In this contest, it shows a check mark by the action but points are not awarded. Why is this? Do I need to do this manually? It would be a burden for the loyal contestant if he/she had to tell me every time that their points aren't showing up for something they did three contests ago! Someone please respond and let me know what you did. This probably needs to be a MAJOR feature update for SURE!
