To someone that is just getting started in SEO with google, what would be the best advice you can give. Are articles more effective? Is there a code you can wack in your site to incerase the PR? What does a beginner need to know? Is there a good course to teach you about googles SEO?
Does google have a webpage saying how their SEO works? I'm sure at one stage someone was telling me its not archived unless its over 250 words. Any able to shed a little light on this? Thanks, kingdogol |

You will need to create unique content frequently. Don't expect to much over night, this will take a little while.
Article submissions are a good way to gain many links. A good article is around 400 words. As far as PR don't worry about it. It will rise as time goes by and your site gets more authority. |

Google doesn't say "what is hot" in their eyes. Pretty much provide good original content, target your keywords, have your keywords in your domain and use them in your H1 tags.
There are scripts that show google bots different things that what the user sees that can help your seo but its a grey area and could get a google slap for it or de-indexed all together. A good plug-in if you plan to use wordpress is All-In-One-SEO. You can edit your links to be seo friendly and here are a list to the plug-ins that are worth you time. |

All of the answers are correct. There is no real magic as what will work. Google wants an original content on your site. You can use site like elance.com to hire writers/programmers.
If you can and I reccommend this to everyone is to find a writer that knows how to specialize in LSI SEO articles. Research what LSI SEO is. To give you a somewhat idea, Google now looks what are the related keywords or words associated with main keyword. So if you type an article it is a good idea to find those related keywords and include them in your article. For example, if you are selling me a product and try to explain the product to me, I can ask any further questions. Google cannot do that, cannot ask those questions, so starts to research related keywords that would describe your main purpose of the site. hope this help. any questions, let me know. Martin |

One thing not mentioned yet, which is very important for SEO benefits is to use good Title Tags (the words inside of the <title> and </title> inside of the <head> part of your html). It is what is displayed in the topmost bar of your browser. Most sites and most site templates put the name of the website first, followed by the page name. This is ok, but you actually get more value out of having a keyword specific title, followed by your website (you can see this at work on this site). As mentioned earlier, the All-In-One-SEO plugin for wordpress will do this for you as well as allow you to customize how your title tags are displayed if you feel like testing.
Which brings me to my next point, Testing!!! It's every marketers favorite thing |

I tried it once. I started a blog and started giving unique contents without worrying about the keyword density and the rest. I got a PR of 1 in just 15 days. And also the topics that i covered were some of the hot topics on those days. So many of my keywords found top 5 positions in google search.

You cannot achieve high PR rankings in a day, its a long process. First you have to SEO your webpages and try to add unique and updated content consistently.
Further Google search spiders love the concept of backlinks and if you have large number of backlinks there is a high chance of improving your page rankings. |

Search engines like unique and fresh content. That's why many blogs get high PR; blog enable us to update content on a regular basis. Try to update your web pages regularly also. Quality content with properly selected keywords in it will work well.
