Beginner Guide to Selling Advertisement On Your Web Site
The simple answer is whatever the buyers are willing to pay. You can follow these steps and start selling advertisement on your site. First, create spots for advertisement - i.e., home page ad, site-wide ad, section-wide ad (in case your site has several sections), individual page /specific placement ad. The more options you can come up with the higher your earning potential. Second, create advertisement detail page and explain what are the options for advertisement (i.e., where are the spots), contract length (1mo, 3mo, 6mo, etc.), and price for the spot/term. This is a good place to let your potential buyer knows the important stats like page view per day, and a place to put your disclaimer - i.e., no guarantee that visitor will click on the link and visit your site, etc. Third, make sure that it's clear on your site that you are selling advertisement. For instance, have a link that say "Advertise with us" or something. Forth wait and see…and be patient. If you have a lot of visitors that come to look at the advertisement page, but no buyer, then there are people that are interested, but the price may be too high….you should then consider lowering the price by 10% and repeat the process. If you have buyers right away and already sold close to 25% of your available spots in the first 2-4 weeks, consider increasing the price by 10%. Just keep adjusting your price until you reach a happy place where you have about 80-90% of your available spots occupied at any given time. Other Options If you are not comfortable with the above option, there many brokerage house already mentioned above that you can contact. If you want, always feel free to PM me with questions and I can probably help you start the process. |

Randfish's stuff is more anticipated than the new Star Wars movie... you should have a premeir party and all that jazz.

Indeed, one of my main gripes with Google is their reliance on their own PageRank indicator. They've almost gotten lazy in fact.
Google wants to be "THE" search engine of choice for finding relevant CONTENT ... yet their primary indicator for determining rank weight has NOTHING to do with the amount of content a site may or may not have. Then they want to look askance at sites that attempt to boost their PR enough to get a "fair hearing" at the Google judge (the spider). But now that I've said that, there really are much better (and cheaper) ways of building backlinks than buying them via textlinads or linkadage (sorry guys). And I say that knowing that I've got the "how to steal to the top of google" article in which I talk about buying links! Link buying is simply PART of an overall strategy. It isn't THE strategy (at least it shouldn't be) either for the buyer or the seller. It is every bit as valid as buying links. And keep in mind that Google will likely NEVER actually "punish" a site for having some sort of purchased link. They may not count the link as valid and therefore not give the link any weight to calculating PR ... but they won't make a subtration to PR for doing this. If they did, it would be too easy for unscrupulous competitors to simply buy a hundred dollars worth of cheap text links ... for their competitor ... thus diminising their competitor in Google's eyes. There's more that goes into this whole mix of course, but the short version is that text link buys do ... at least for the very forseeable future ... have a place in a well rounded SEO/SEM campaign, especially for a new website. |

I honestly think you could get a 10 before 2 years. It all depends on which super high authority Google website that links to you, but it has to be extremely important too.
