Well, keyword shouldn't be over used. Some web master proposed 3% to 5% as the acceptable standard. Anyway, the number of keywords should be just sufficient enough to get recognized by search engines.

I have noticed (as far as AdSense goes) that if you use keywording too much your Google ads quit being relevant to the content.

Is that their way of trying to put a stop to fluff content that is not truly beneficial and is simply used to try and make money off of advertisers?

If you are using a blog for all of your content pushing. I suggest getting the All-In-One SEO plugin for Wordpress and let it work it's magic by keeping all of your adsense ads sniffing for Titled topics. This keeps your content fresh and your blog posts with good relevant adsense ads.

Keyword density shouldn't be a concern. There is actually no % rule as it varies depending on if the keyword is competitive or not. The best thing to do is to go check the top 10 pages for that keyword and see how their content is written; this should give you a clear idea about how your page should be written. But, as a rule, what matters the most is that your content sounds natural.

Keyword density is just a number of times a particular word or phrase appears in the pages of your site. Keywords are an important part of building your website. When Google crawls your site, it is important that the keyword density must be approved per cent. Calculation of keyword density is easy to calculate the number of words in the post and distribute that amount.

In your page the main keyword should be around 5 - 6 % only. If they are more then they would anti-effect in SEs.
