Default What to include in a landing page?

Hello everyone,

Say I am promoting a product, but I don't want to make up a fake customer review or don't want to do any fake reviews for the top 3 products in the niche because I haven't tried the products, what should I include in the landing page?

I have also learned that having a long sales page, particularly for those outside the money niche tend to do poorly. They don't even read my site for longer than 20 seconds according to Google Analytics. Should I include a video instead?

Because I seem to have low CTR through to the offer, where they buy the actual product. Somewhere around 25% and I want it a little higher.

Any examples of a good landing page would be absolutely great!

A video is a good way to get your main points across much faster then reading through a whole long site. Also your CTR could improve just off of changing your opt in box. You should really try changing it and doing split testing to see if it makes a difference.

Our page is more then just a landing page but you can see some of the designs and tactics we use just by looking at it and then you can try applying some of them to your site. Always remember to do your split testing in case it does not make a big difference then you can cross it off the list, change something else and run the split testing again. This truly is the only way to do your lading page justice when trying to improve your CTR/conversion rates.

Hey,

Thanks for your quick reply. Yea, I almost forgot about Bills new marketing site, and quite honestly, it really makes the user want to opt-in.

Yea I was thinking of doing a video with a little bit of text below, as these days (including myself) many people don't want to read something that is 2000 words, and they have psychological needs that Web 2.0 fulfil for example video.

Video incorporates a humans voice which automatically makes the person 'want' to listen. And in the end, optin or visit your offer.

Their is only one problem, I don't have a good talking voice. I mean it isn't bad, but it can't compete with the voice that is on Bill McIntosh's video. I'd say that is hands down one of the best voices in the industry. Is their anyone that does text to voice for competitive prices?

Also, how would I get the JW FLV player in my website, and what about the hosting costs? Do you guys host them on Amazon's ezS3 storage site or your own site?

And I know that split testing is the only way that works in order to truly find out what works and what doesn't but, I simply know that video will work. For instance, yesterday one of my website received 26 unique visits, while only 4 of them actually clicked through to my offer. I reckon that anything I do now should increase my CTR, I'm probably at the lowest CTR possible lol. I want to make it reach at least 50%.

Thank you for all your help!
