I tried Myspace bulletin service in the past but did't got enough result in terms of income. Some traffic came from myspace but I think that was not targetted enough to make any sale for me. I heard some people got good result from myspace. Can anybody share his experience here?

Yeah I had some luck with MySpace. I think it really truly depends on the page you have and friends you've made. If you're marketing towards people who are into what you're selling, you'll have good luck with it. I used MySpace to get people interested in a site that I knew they would want to buy from. I haven't used it much lately, but I know it's there if I need it.

it will take some time because if you don't have those people in your friends list ,you don't have many chances to market on myspace. On the other hand, to make friends and find out if they are interested, like louis said, it demands a lot of time spent on myspace and I recommend using other marketing methods if you are not the type who stays and chats with people on myspace.

There's a lot of potential for myspace. It works great for musicians, and artists. There's a crowd there for that, though. Everyone likes music, and many are artists on myspace. Afterall, years ago when the site was developed, before it was taken over by Rupert Murdoch, it was a site geared towards artists.
Just about everyone has a myspace, though. In order to network, you have to network -- meaning talk to people, join groups, etc. etc. Just putting up a page isn't going to work. |

With the volume of people trying to promote their bands as well as the number of kids on myspace, it's really important to seek out the people who would be interested in your product/service, add them as a friend, email them like a human being, letting them know why you want to add them as a friend, etc., and get to know them a little bit. then promote your product or service to them. it's a lot of work, but it's important to make myspace a valuable tool. and it can definitely be a valuable tool. i've gotten connections, exhibitions, covers of magazines, art sales etc. from myspace, me finding them as well as them finding me.

Well, my experience shows that it is quite difficult to market on MySpace, but not impossible! To depend on it all alone, would take too much time, but just staying involved once in a while is good enough...
I think just participating in MySpace, Facebook, Twitter, YouTube, etc... and keeping them uptodate and taken care of is the best that one can do. If you do it right, then some sales might come, but fact is that you have to make it available to ALL publics, not just who you might think is a public. You cant fulfill everyones needs all the time, but if they know you are there, they will come if they ever need you.

Oh by the way, not to forget that the power of Social Networking sites actually lays in the "Viral" spreading of rumors from friends to friends, wife to wife, kid to kid, etc. thru "Word-of-Mouth" or hearing thru the "Grape-Vine"...
So it is really Good to just build a list of "Good" friends, because maybe your friendŽs friend, might actually have another friend that has a friend interested in such a product or service... that again, is the friendship power of friends looking out for one another, but of course, that can also "back-fire" sometimes! Major thing is, You have to do "Something"! Without doing anything at all, you will NEVER find out or get any feedback at all! yes, if youŽd like to know, I am in MySpace, Facebook, Twitter, YouTube, Viddler, Jasonsnetwork, ecademy, selfgrowth, and so many that I believe I might have forgotten quite a few... but they do exist and I am in there... Staying Busy is a Must to Build an Empire! Yours Truly!

Just a quick tip. Remember the best way to use social profiles is to use the ones that target your specific market. If you are selling Home Loans or offering home loan advice, for example, then MySpace might not be the best place for you sense it targets a younger age group. Then again, having as much content and marketing out there as you can can't really hurt now can it? If you are doing it right that is! Good Luck!

It depends in your marketing strategy also! Yes, you post bulletin to myspace and people will probably click your link; BUT at first impression your visitors won’t find any interesting about your page, they would just leave and that’s the reason you don’t generate.
