It is difficult to get marketing efforts noticed on MySpace because of all of the other activities going on, along with all of the paid advertising. I have found it difficult to make MySpace work.
Are there any tips that might make marketing on MySpace, without paying for advertising, more productive? |

The best way to use MySpace or any similar social sites is to build up a friends list. Then you can start posting comments on other peoples pages who have similar interests as you. Also make sure to add friends that fit the criteria for the type of people you are targeting for your product. Once you have built up a large friend list you need to send out comments to each of them not mentioning your product at all. Once you start getting responses or acknowledgments to your comments you can start plugging your product randomly. Example, if you have been friends with someone who likes to cook and you sell recipes you can start sending comments that suggest checking out this great new recipe you added and maybe even offer an incentive for a discount sense they are on your friends list. Just make sure to not only send comments plugging your product or people will stop paying attention to what you are saying all together. It is good to follow up with unrelated comments after you plug your product. Hope you catch my drift.

Great tips smontano! Once you get your friends list built up another good utilization of myspace is to post your videos in your friends comments to increase views.

Many people claim that Myspace marketing is saturated already. But as blogger I still manage to gain traffic from my 25 myspace account. The secret is choose target traffic that relates to your niche.
Promote music blog for those who have interest in music. Do not forget to leave any comment, testimonial, message or anything with back link to your blog. |

Hey, I don't know what to say, I noticed that people there are more interested in getting hooked rather than market or help you market your products.I would try other sites myself and use Myspace for other activities and for knowing people,if you just start adding others in your friends list and start annoying them with topics they are not interested in ,you just waste your time.Anyezy good luck everybody.

I think that Myspace is overrated from this point of view because marketing on Myspace is not worth very much effort. There are other sites and modalities to increase your business figure.Myspace is socializing orientated and I believe there are other sites where you can start marketing your products and services.

Honestly I think it all boils down to your niche. I run one site that is dedicated to testing video games. I have used MySpace successfully to market the site. THAT is really because many of the people on MySpace are younger and luckily for me, into video games. I say if you can reach people who will be into your niche, you'll do well with MySpace.
