Well, amongst many websites offering freelance jobs, I think elance and odesk are the good ones. It is free to join. In odesk, you can even take several kind of test to help you raising your reputation. If you are looking for translating jobs, you can try proz.com.

I am using Odesk on several projects right now and it seems to be working out great.
I've also found some good outsourcers on Odesk who I'm using steadily now. That's always the best thing to have when outsourcing. Going through new people every time can be very frustrating.

Hey Jimbo,
I do freelance quite a bit. Here are my thoughts. Guru.com offers more specialties. I'm still getting used too the interface. Great talent. Rentacoder.com is a site I use to outsource my tech stuff. Submitting rss feeds, creating social profiles, article marketing etc.. ifreelance I havn't tried yet. No need to with the amount of business I get on all the other sites Elance is the mother of all free lance cites in my opinion. I meet incredible entrepreneurs to freelance too. The escrow process is smooth and you 'pay as you go' by purchasing credits. As opposed to guru you'll need upfront fees. Hope that helps -R |

I found one freelance person on Odesk.com that I now use for all of my freelance writing jobs. I think it really depends upon what kind of jobs you need to have done. But all of the sites mentioned above should give you what you need to proceed.
