Lost my Search Engine Rankings

Hi
I had this website Travel India Guide and Travel India Tour which was formed about 2 months back. All the pages of the website were indexed on google and were ranking good. My Blog Blog | Travel India Guide and Travel India Tour had a good ranking according to blog grader. The pages were coming up on the 2nd or 3rd pages of google.
But all of a sudden on one day i lost the ranking on google and other search engines. I had a lot of spammy comments which i later deleted and allowed a software to block them in the future. The pages of the website are still indexed but they are not ranking good as before.
Even you type in the whole title of the page, the pages of other websites show up but not my homepage. This was not happening before. Moreover, my other backlinks do show up on the first page like from Facebook, Jaiku etc etc but not the Page of the website itself.
I dont know why is that. Why the pages are not being recognized and coming up ahead in the rankings. I have tried a lot. Backlinking is going on.
The strange thing is that the backlinks from other social networks show up but not itself the page.

I really dont know how much time it will take me to get back the rankings for my pages that i once had. Is there a possibility that someone had complained about my website out of competition.

You need to promote more your website using SEO tactics...

Websites change position on a regular basis.

Rankings are never static. Someone complaining about your site won't have much to do with it.

If the spam comments included links back to bad neighborhoods (spam farms, warez sites, porn sites, etc) then it could have an impact on your site for a while.

Have you signed up for Google Webmaster tools? They will tell you if you have specific things that are impacting your rankings.

I have had pages on the first page disappear for several days. They generally come back.

How old is your site? If it is a new site, be patient. Keep creating backlinks to your material. Keep generating new material.

The one issue may be if you have multiple pages on your site that have duplicate content. You can get penalized if your site includes multiple pages of the same content.
