twitter direct message problem

I'm not sure what is causing this but I cannot send direct messages as twitter says I I have sent my max.

I haven't sent my max, as I have only replied to maybe a couple hundred new followers. Twitter will let you send 1000 total direct messages per day, I have not come close to that, what else could be causing that?

Are you using Tweetdeck? Because I was getting the same thing today and I saw a tweet from someone else saying that. So I think it was a tweetdeck problem.

no, not using tweetdeck, I was using tweetlater but had turned it off after only having it on for less than 1 hour

hmm must have been a twitter problem. i just saw another of my friends complaining of missed DMs today so something is clearly going on. lemme see what i can find out...

so apparently it's a bug that's not quite worked out.
