twitter contest worthwhile??

We were thinking about running a twitter contest for the purpose of making the world aware of us and to gain more listeners/followers.

Have any of you hosted one? What is the best tool to manage the tweets? Need to run viral... one week? one day?? once a week for several weeks?

I've run one and got a lot of added traffic from it.

I have a plugin that runs the entire contest and has a LOT of extra features. I'm about to release it to my Elite members as a free bonus. They'll be beta testing it very soon.

I'll release it for sale to the public shortly after they get to test it.
