One of our Business Inner Circle forum members had asked a question about how to monetize their general interest website. Bill decided to answer this question live on his show.

In the below clip he discusses the difference between types of online businesses, as in those which offer one particular product or service, and those which offer many different types of information, such as news sites and online magazines. Each type of site presents its own problems with regards to marketing, and marketing must be approached in different ways.

The most important element in monetizing a site which has many different types of traffic is to test many different types of ads by promoting affiliate products and CPA products. Another option would be to offer ad space on your site and sell that to interested companies. This, of course, would require work in finding business owners who are promoting products or services which relate to the interests of your public. Then sell them ad space on your website.
