Recently the founder of FB said publicly that he feels privacy is no longer a social norm. I don’t agree that we don’t care about our privacy any more. I believe that most internet users have no idea what privacies they are giving up in order to use various tools, applications or services. And it’s important to understand what gets done with your personal information, so that you can decide for yourself and be in control of this.
In last Tuesday’s live show, I discussed this subject, phishing scams, and answered live questions regarding privacy and services such as Google’s personalized search, which track your internet activity and actually change your search results. I also gave a little instruction on how to better be in control of this, how to opt out of the personalized search, and information about when Google’s personalized search is useful and when it’s not.
Find out for yourself.
