Installation Instructions:
The first thing you need to do is create a MySQL database and user and assign that user to the database, giving all permissions. Here is a short (2 minute) video showing how to do this in cPanel:

The next step is to download, unzip and upload the Contest Burner Standalone script. You can download the script from the link above. Use an FTP program to connect to your website and upload the files to a folder on your website. For this example, I am just uploading the folder as /contest/
Once the files have completed uploading, you are going to need to change the permissions on a couple files and folders. The first one is the ContestBurner folder itself. You need to change the permissions on this folder to 777, or Read, Write, Execute for all 3 groups. Then you need to change the permissions on the config.php file located inside of that ContestBurner folder to 666, or Read and Write for all 3 groups. Now that you have created the database, uploaded the files and changed permissions, you are ready to run the install script. Navigate in your web browser to install.php inside the folder you uploaded the files to (http://www.yoursite.com/contestfolder/install.php)
Fill out the fields on this page with your correct information. If you don’t know what to put in a field, then just leave the default setting. Make sure you put in your complete and correct database name, database user, and database user password. At the bottom of the form, create an Admin account by specifying a username, password and email address. Then hit the Save Settings button.*
*NOTE: if you get this warning, don’t fret, all is not lost:

Simply load the page again by selecting it in your navigation bar and press enter. The install script will run and you will be fine.
The script will let you know that the installation is complete, notify you to delete or rename the install.php file for security purposes and provide you a link to the Admin area.
Log in to the admin area with the account you created and you’ll be all set.
