Recently Google launched their new “Adwords Comparison Ads” as a service of Adwords customers. The idea is that it will improve the relevance of user searches by allowing them to see and compare ads of different companies within their own search criteria. Additionally, the user will be able to continue narrowing down search results on various categories, to be able to compare very exact types of ads very quickly.
At the moment, this service is only in the very beginning stages, will only be seen in select areas of the US, and is only available for the real estate industry according to Google’s blog. You can see where this is going, though. It’s an exciting new feature that could provide extremely helpful not only to the comparison shopper, but to the advertiser as well. By really seeing who your competition is, you’ll be able to create ads which are more relevant and helpful and which lead to higher conversion rates.
