Communication is the thing that allows human interaction to occur. So its importance in business is obvious.

In live interactions with other humans, you can see in someone’s face if they’re getting what you’re saying, but on the internets you have to find these things out in other ways. When you send your customers an email, do they open it? Do they respond to it? Do they purchase products or services as a result? And if not, why not?

These questions are sorted out with testing. Using an email subscription service like Aweber, you can test your emails to see which get the best results. This makes the time you spend communicating with your customers worthwhile. Your time is valuable as a business owner, so you want to know that your communications to your public are understandable, appropriate and effective. Right? Right.

Watch the clip from this past live show for specifics on how Aweber works, results from my most recent split test, and training on how to use Aweber to test your own business emails.

In a recent show it was mentioned that Apple is coming down hard on creators of the cookie cutter iPhone apps, the apps which are created using templates and which don’t provide much functionality for the consumer.

“What does this have to do with me, a small business owner?” you might ask.

Well, it’s an indicator. There are enough people using enough smartphones for their internet browsing, that companies started creating iPhone app templates so other companies could create their own iPhone apps. And this went on to such a degree, that now Apple has been compelled to start regulating the quality of iPhone apps which they offer in iTunes.

From this you can easily see that mobile browsing isn’t just a fad. And if you want your business to be seen and known, it’s vital that you start getting your business onto those communication lines. THAT’S what this has to do with you.

For training on getting your business seen via mobile devices, watch my show on Tuesdays @ 6:30 pm PST.

If you watch my show at ALL, you know how strongly I feel about the importance of local and mobile marketing for small business owners or large ones.

And every new product that rolls out just further proves my point. The new Apple iPad will be available for purchase starting this Saturday at every Apple store on Earth. This is the newest awesome product which allows consumers to search for what they’re looking for without being stuck to their desktops at home. Microsoft has already announced their upcoming mobile device to compete with the iPad, and so has Hewlett-Packard. So in addition to all the smart phones being bought up as fast as they can be produced, there’s now this new wave of products.

So what does this have to do with you? Everything. If you want to be in the 21st century as a business owner, you’re going to have to promote your business in such a way that consumers can find you easily using these mobile devices. I give lots of training in this on my shows, so stop by on Tuesdays to get any of your questions answered. And here’s a clip about the iPad from a recent show below.

As an extra little bonus, you can enter a contest I created to win a FREE Apple iPad of your very own right here: iPad Contest.

Point #4: If you’re connected with those companies in any way, Google and the legal hammer could come down on you as well.

So know who you’re dealing with before promoting any affiliate product or service, and everyone will live happily ever after.

Do you ever wonder if the products or services you’re promoting as an affiliiate are even worthwhile or beneficial to the people who buy them?

This is something you really should consider in your decisions about which products or services you’re going to personally promote. In the same way that you would ensure that anything you sell in your own physical business has value to your customer. And there ARE ways to find out if these affiliate offers are valuable or just ripoffs. To find out how to separate the good from the bad and ensure that what you are promoting is something positive and helpful to the customer, you have to do a little bit of investigation.

At the end of the day, you should feel good about what you’re selling. A few minutes of research is worth that. Watch the clip to get the specific tips on what to look for, where to look and how to investigate affiliate offers to ensure that they are something worth your time and effort to promote.

Cheers.
